There are opportunities to join city working groups and contribute to the discussions, processes and influence decisions around these issues. Our executive members do try to represent the community as often as we can on behalf of the PDCA but we can’t be at all the tables.
We are looking for people who are concerned/curious/interested in the decisions and developments that will have an impact on our entire district, and are willing to join a working group or committee and report back to us, either as an ‘at large’ executive member or as an informal invitee to our executive meetings, so that we can keep our residents informed.
If we can have at least one person seated at these other tables, they will make ours stronger.
We encourage members of PDCA to regularly check with City links that provides a list of current active projects:
https://www.cityofkingston.ca/city-hall/projects-construction
It is useful to check the Public Engagement sections of the Projects of interest. You may then wish to send an e-mail to the project contact and request to be placed on the e-mail list for active updates.
